About Us

Galloping Gems, Inc. began in October, 2000. As a Graduate Gemologist from the prestigious Gemological Institute of America (GIA), I envisioned a company where my great-grandmother's values of truthfulness and integrity would be the norm for the customer. As a very young child, my great-grandmother gave me a family heirloom ring. I remember being so thrilled that she trusted me with such a valuable and beautiful ring that ever since then, I have loved gems and jewelry.

After my graduation from GIA in 1989, my career began and was mostly in retail jewelry stores. They included contemporary to estate and antique jewelry stores, high end stores, and moderate quality stores. Additionally, I was fortunate to be employed by a very talented jeweler/manufacturer where my knowledge was expanded by the involvement of how jewelry was made. Bringing this knowledge and experience to Galloping Gems, Inc. will give the customer a thorough understanding of gems and jewelry.

Knowing a person's word was worth its weight in gold back in my great-grandmother's time, I have a very strong passion for telling the truth about gems and jewelry. Because of my beliefs, it continues to astonish me the level of "blatant exaggeration" towards the clientele that exist in this industry. I enjoy helping people and love locating the jewelry of people's dreams. When a customer has a unique request, my sources can acquire a hard to find item or their need can be satisfied by providing custom jewelry services.

My other passion in life is horses and I have combined both of these loves in the name of my company and logo. As a result of this second passion, I can find or make horse related jewelry, including hair jewelry from a beloved horse's tail hair. If you decide to use Galloping Gems, Inc. as your personal gem and jewelry professional, you will have my word the value and description will be the truth!
